Here's the result of my second class of "Flowers 101":

It's very obvious which one was professionally made. The one on the left was the teacher's demonstration wreath, and I was the lucky winner that ended up with it. It's not really my colors or style. I thought mine (on the right) turned out very dramatic, although I probably should either cut the leaves a little shorter or hang the wreath at a different angle. Either way, I'm excited to put it up on our door.
I read a quote today from Sister Hinckley that I really liked, so I thought I'd share it with you.
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know that I was really here and that I really lived."
